Bargain destinations and the cheapest places to travel

Barefoot Faithful, Atomic Tourism, and an Untitled Story about Asolo

August 3rd, 2009 Posted in Leffel projects, Perceptive Travel, Travel adventures

It’s time for another issue of Perceptive Travel, home to the best travel stories from book authors on the move.

That tag line sounds kind of cocky when one of the stories is mine—on Atomic Tourism and Secret Cities. But I’ve won a few awards for narratives I’ve written over the years, so I guess I’m qualified to stand next to Eliot Stein and Edward Readicker-Henderson, the other two authors this month. They’ve written guidebooks and they’re good storytellers, so who says you can’t do both?

Anyway, go check out the August ‘09 issue of Perceptive Travel. It’s also got reviews of some world music worth checking out. We zip around from Sardinia to Italy, from New Mexico to Tennessee, and around the world through headphones.

If you sign up for the newsletter, you can get in on the giveaway we run each month, so go do it now. We won’t bug you more than once a month. Promise.
