Sneaky Salmon, Hiding Xanas, and Fighting Cows
May 1st, 2009 Posted in Leffel projects, Perceptive Travel, contestsOh, and a commuter cruise into the Arctic Circle in March.
Put all those things together and you’ve got the May 2009 issue of Perceptive Travel.
Regular contributor Amy Rosen returns, I review a couple books, we’ve got world music, and we welcome three talented writers to our pages for the first time. One of those is Pam Mandel from Nerd’s Eye View, a travel blog worth checking out.
In case you don’t see the front page, I’ve got some horn-tooting to do as well. Three of the stories in the new Best Travel Writing 2009 anthology came from the pages of Perceptive Travel. That’s worth puffing the chest up for, but three other writers inside the covers have also written for us in the past. We publish good stuff from good travel writers. I promise. So go check it out.
The new issue is out on a Friday and the newsletter won’t go out until Monday. That means if you haven’t signed up for said newsletter, you can do it now and be in the running for this month’s contest. The odds are good because most readers are too lazy to enter. Trust me on that declaration as well. Go to the home page to check out the Keen bag we’re giving away then click the newsletter button at the top right: Perceptive Travel home page.

Thanks for posting this. I had forgotten about the contest until I read this. I’ll have to get off my lazy butt and enter! Also, love the picture!
