Great Post. Your Right, just because you have the money there is no reason to pay full price to go on your trip. I have a blog that list the cheapest hotels in las vegas.

Do you think we are safe if the website gives them a 4 star rating or higher?

Brea, if you like that no worries setup, then just go with the flow and find a last-minute deal. Plan and pack for the beach, but don't care where you go. Then look for deals on sites like Site59.com, Bookit.com, Hotwire, whatever. Usually January is peak time and it's tough, but not this year. Do pick your hotel carefully still though. Some of those resorts are great, some are pretty crappy.

CAN YOU HELP ME?!?!?
My husband and I have been trying to nail down a vacation for over a year now and cannot get it down, we REALLY need one and are thinking we will go in January 09.
We were supposed to go last January and had the funds saved up but a surprise pregnancy made us have to cancel and put all that money into our Health Savings Account because of our crummy insurance. Unfortunately, I miscarried that pregnancy and we have been recovering from that and really need to get away, we have slowly tried to save back up and have about $1600 saved back up in our vacation fund and want to go somewhere SOON. We are thinking mid- January but cannot decide where...we both like Mexico and have done the All Inclusive thing before and enjoyed that the most. Mostly because of the no stress beach time...we like to just chill out on the beach with a good book and not fight about where to eat dinner and how much to spend and whether or not to order drinks. We would like to go for a week and I am having a hard time finding something nice, that I trust from internet pictures, that will be low hassle and nice beach and relaxing. I just need some good referrals on some great deals right now. If you were me where would you go? Thanks so much for any help you can be I am pretty desperate!
