Chuburna beach

A few weeks ago I was quoted in a SmarterTravel.com article on lesser-known beaches that made for a nice getaway.

I happen to be on the one I talked about in that article right now. This is one of those beaches where you can walk for 20 minutes and see one other person.

I don’t have Internet access, I don’t have a TV, and music comes from an MP3 player plugged to inflatable speakers. It’s blissfully low-tech. We have the kind of vacation in this little fishing village that people used to have before they decided they couldn’t let go of the office when they were supposed to be relaxing.

“But Tim,” you must be thinking, “If you are so chilled out at the moment, why are you holed up in an Internet cafe like a loser, posting this stuff to your blog?”

Ah, if you follow the advice espoused by the likes of Timothy Ferriss, you learn to work productively in spurts so you can do what you want in longer spurts without working for the sake of looking busy. I wrote this blurb last Friday night as I was packing my bags and future-posted it. Technology serving me, not the other way around.

Hasta luego…
