La Ceiba has always been considered the "jewel" of Honduras, and real estate here is being "gobbled-up" at unbelievable prices by Americans! I got a home right on the beach here for under $75,000! The Caribbean ocean is gorgeous, and the people here are the friendliest I've seen in all of central America! The mainland of Honduras is REALLY coming of age!!
