Call Overseas, Get a Magazine Subscription

If you have to call overseas a lot, Skype and SkypeOut are pretty cool. But sometimes you don’t feel like fiddling with your computer and risking a bad connection. So I also routinely make calls on a regular phone line to Mexico, Costa Rica, and Argentina for a few cents a minute. I use a Pingo phone card that lasts forever and is rechargeable online when it gets low. I honestly can’t tell the difference between these calls and ones I make with my far more expensive regular phone service. (Not always true with Skype.)
