Earning Frequent Flyer Miles in a Desk Chair
February 23rd, 2007 Posted in General, Travel industry, Vacation dealsBack in September I posted about a deal that Delta Airlines was running where you could earn 250 miles by doing almost nothing. While I have taken my potshots at Delta plenty of times, I just earned 750 miles from them in about five minutes without even getting up from my chair, so they definitely earn some positive points for that.
First, for whatever reason (probably because there was no incentive to change), I’ve always gotten a paper statement in the mail from Delta. In the new one I got, there was a nice little carrot: subscribe to our e-mail statement instead and earn 500 miles. Log-in, click, and done. As much as I would have earned flying to Atlanta. There in the fine print was another nice little teaser. Log on and answer a survey and earn 250 miles. Like the one I posted in the fall, this was a ONE question survey. How hard is that? Click, done, another 250 miles. I can see that trip to South America getting closer all the time…
I can’t promise these links will work for you since if you’re already getting an e-mail statement from them you’re done and when my wife tried to do the survey she got rejected, probably because she just did one in December. They’re not that generous apparently.

If you belong to Continental’s program and have loads of time on your hands, they’ll give you mileage for answering consumer surveys about travel, travel ads, and the like.
