Thanks. I really do read your column first when I open up Conde Nast Traveler--not just sucking up. Yes, it looks like we all got out-stuffed on the Travvies, so my predictions of corporate front-runners was misplaced. (My second bet would have been SmarterTravel.) Loved your comment about the lawyers making you fear what you can get away with. Obviously we lone rangers in our pajamas with nobody to answer to don't have to worry about that. Actually we don't worry about being edited period, which is also part of the appeal. I just responded to my fourth set of questions from a copy editor for a magazine story that's less than 800 words long. Unreal. On here I write that much every day or two and it's done. Not as chirpy and cutesy I suppose, but what I read on good travel blogs seems more authentic than the over-edited prose between the Jaguar and Rolex ads. Then there's the issue with your blog that people have to give all kinds of personal info to the Concierge.com empire in order to post a comment. Grrrrr. Wendy,
