Spas in the Czech Republic
July 31st, 2006 Posted in Cheap Europe Travel, Destination reports, Travel bargainsI didn’t see this story when it first ran, but Budget Travel magazine has posted a “Spas of Bohemia” story that gives the rundown on taking the waters in the Czech Republic.
I moved the Czech Republic to the “honorable mentions” section of this new edition of The World’s Cheapest Destinations because prices in Prague have really risen fast and it’s not the bargain it was a few years ago. Outside the capital, however, it’s a different story. Catch a cheap bus or train to the countryside for under $4, get a good meal for $5, then plop yourself down in a historic spa. Aaaaahhhh…
If you want to really get a sense of the country before you go, check out Travelers’ Tales Prague and the Czech Republic.
