The Inca Trail Basics
August 2nd, 2005 Posted in Destination reportsAn article of mine, Inca Trail 101, was just published in the fine newsletter put out by Backcountry.com. This is a newsletter worth subscribing to if you’re an outdoorsy traveler or you’re into travel and adventure gear. It’s a freebie and only pops into your e-mail box once a month.
The article is a rundown on what you need to know if you are thinking about doing this hike while in Peru. It addresses the questions hundreds of people keep asking on travel message boards like the Thorn Tree. The Inca Trail is famous and popular for a good reason–it’s a terrific hike. It takes some preparation and planning though–you can’t just show up and go.
